Filtration and substances
The carbon block houses our patented formula, which is the result of many years of research and of which we are very proud. It breaks down the mineral to prevent limescale formation, as well as trapping the remaining heavy metals and over 70 substances your body doesn't need.
Refill duration
Water quality and filtration efficiency can only be guaranteed up to a usage capacity equivalent to 6 months in a 1-2 person household. Beyond 6 months, the filtration efficiency will no longer meet our quality parameters.
It should also be noted that the components of the refill are of organic origin, so that, after a prolonged period of use, they can lead to bacterial growth.
Tips for use
- Can be used with both hot and cold water
- Avoid washing the filter with soap
- If you have not used the filter for several days, let the water run for 30 seconds.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know it's working?
Chlorine in shower water often causes dry skin and hair. For people with sensitive skin, it may cause rashes as well. The filter removes most of the chlorine resulting in softer skin and hair over time.
Furthermore, the filter will reduce limescale formation on the tiles and glass surfaces. Typically you will notice this within a few weeks.
ShowerPro Diamond will make your shower water clean, clear and free of unwanted substances.
Why do I have to change the refill every 6 months?
The capacity of ShowerPro Diamond is about 8,000-12,000 litres (depending on water quality). After this, the filter material will be used up and cannot absorb the chlorine and other substances anymore.
In addition to this, the refills are made of materials of organic origin that after a prolonged period of use, can give rise to the proliferation of bacteria. These bacteria accumulate behind the filter and can contaminate the water. This is a normal situation with any refill made of organic substances, regardless of how many of you are at home or whether the filter has not been used for some time.
Please note that the estimated duration may also vary depending on the number of users in the household.
Does ShowerPro Diamond need to be cleaned?
Cleaning your filter is not strictly necessary. If you would like to clean it or need to clean it due to scale build-up around the product, you can use water and vinegar. Please note that the refill is not washable, so you will need to remove it before cleaning the outside of your filter.
Why do I have to change it every 6 months even if I don't use it much?
The refill is made of carbon, a material of organic origin that can be a breeding ground for microorganisms, which over time can lead to the proliferation of bacteria. These bacteria accumulate behind the filter and can contaminate the water. This is a normal situation with activated carbon filters, regardless of how many of you are at home, or if the filter has not been used for some time.
