Filtration and contaminants
EcoPro Compact uses advanced 5-stage nanofiltration technology with activated carbon.
The refill consists of an activated carbon disc and adsorbs chemicals, gases, metals and organics due to its microscopic structure and highly porous surface.
As the water passes through the filter, all contaminants are trapped by the activated carbon. The result is clean filtered water ready to drink.
- Filtration rate: 4L/min or 15 seconds to filter 1 L
- Filtration capacity of a refill: 280 L per month approx. 8 L / day
- Density of carbon block: 1-2 µm
- Substances removed: +100

Refill duration
Water quality and filtering efficiency can only be guaranteed up to a usage capacity equivalent to 2 months. If you use the refill beyond 2 months, the filtering efficiency of substances will no longer meet our quality parameters. You should also bear in mind that activated carbon is a material of organic origin that can be a breeding ground for micro-organisms, which over time can lead to the proliferation of bacteria.
Tips for use and recycling of the refill
Tips for use and recycling of the refill
- Use hot water only in the NO filter position
- Avoid washing the filter with soap
- If you haven’t used the filter in several days, let the filtered water run for 30 seconds
- Avoid exposing the filter to heat
- When disposing the refills separate the parts. The plastic can be recycled but the carbon block should be disposed with other waste as it accumulates contaminants inside.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I will like the taste?
There are several causes of bad taste in tap water. Hardness of water, which is the concentrated amount of dissolved minerals like calcium or magnesium, is one of them. The higher the concentration of these elements, the harder the water.
Chlorine also directly affects the bad taste of our tap water. Other causes may be an excess of calcium or potassium in the water.
Our filters eliminate these substances, so the water that comes out of our tap will be clean, clear, and good-tasting.
How can I know if my faucet will be compatible?
Our filter is compatible with standard thread faucets. Please check if your faucet model is compatible before purchasing.
The thread of our filter is F22, the most common measurement. If your faucet has a different measurement, please fill out the following questionnaire to identify which adapter is compatible with your faucet and we will send you a new one free of charge.
My faucet has a standard thread, but how do I know if I will need an adapter?
To identify if you need an adapter, it is important to fill out the following questionnaire.
Why do I have to change every 2 months even if I don't use it much?
The refill is made of carbon, a material of organic origin that can be a breeding ground for microorganisms, which over time can give rise to the proliferation of bacteria. These bacteria accumulate behind the filter and can contaminate the water.
This is a normal situation with activated carbon filters, regardless of how many of you are at home, or if the filter has not been used for a while.
