What TAPP Water does not filter

There is a common misconception that a water filter must remove all substances from tap water. Below you will find a list of substances and parameters that the EcoPro and EcoPro Compact filter does not remove or modify and why it does not:

Substance(s) Description
TS ( total disolved solids)
The TDSs are basically the minerals that the water carries, such as inorganic salts and small amounts of organic matter that dissolve in the water. They usually be calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate and nitrates. Most laboratory reports use the electrical conductivity parameter instead of TDS. In no case, the presence of TDS is an indicator that water is drinking or not.
Healthy minerals
The minerals that can be found in the water are mainly calcium, potassium, magnesium and chloride among others. The human being needs these minerals to live. Carbon blocks to hardly reduce the concentrations of these essential minerals.
Toughness
Hard water is the one with a high concentration of calcium and magnesium. With regard to its potability, generally, that water is hard is an advantage. However, it accumulates lime deposits that are often considered a problem.
pH
pH is a way to measure acidity or alkalinity of water. A pH between 6.5 and 8.5 is considered normal. The body is able to adjust this pH of the water that you have drunk with the body in natural state (the pH of the blood is 7.4). No health risk related to pH within the mentioned legal interval is known.

Every year we perform laboratory tests with third-party laboratories. The following table gives an overview of one of these tests performed by SimpleLab (USA), AQA (Germany) and iTabe (Spain), three of the world's most recognized laboratories. * Note: The reason for choosing Los Angeles, USA, is that this was the worst tap water in terms of contaminants that we found during all tests. Laboratory tests have also been done with water from Barcelona, Valencia, Mallorca, New York, Toronto, Milan, Malta, India, Bhutan, Venezuela, Indonesia and many other countries.
