Filtration and contaminants
Ultra uses an ultra-advanced 5-stage ultrafiltration technology with activated carbon in its refills. It is capable of absorbing substances and retaining them in the spherical particles of the activated carbon.
The result is clean filtered water, ready for consumption.
- Filtration rate: 2-4 l/min*. or 15 seconds to fill one litre.
- Refill expiry: after 3 months from first use.
- Filtration capacity of refill: up to 1200 litres (approx. 13 litres/day) for 3 months.
- Density of carbon block: 0.01-0.02 µm (microns)
- Substances filtered: 100+ incl bacteria & viruses
* Flowrate may slow down over time as the filter gets clogged with water contaminants.
** The packaging states up to 6 months use

Filter Refill lifetime
Water quality and filtering efficiency can only be guaranteed up to a capacity of use equivalent to 3 months. If you use the refill beyond 3 months, the filtering efficiency of substances may no longer meet our quality parameters.
Activated carbon is a material of organic origin that can be a breeding ground for micro-organisms, which over time can lead to the proliferation of bacteria.

Tips for use and recycling of the refill
Use hot water only in the NON-filtering position.
- Avoid washing the filter with soap
- If you have not used the filter for several days, let the filtered water run for 30 seconds.
- Avoid exposing the filter to heat
- The old refill should be disposed of in the grey container because apart from being made of coconut shells (70%), it is also composed of other materials such as UHMW (30%) and silicone parts.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Ultra water filter
How do I know if I will like the taste?
There are several causes of bad tasting tap water. Water hardness, which is the concentrated amount of dissolved minerals such as calcium or magnesium, is one of them. The higher the concentration of these elements, the greater the hardness.
Chlorine also has a direct impact on the bad taste of the water in our taps. Other causes may be the excess of calcium or potassium in the water.
Our filters remove these substances, so the water that will come out of our faucet will be clean, clear and taste good.
How do I know if my faucet will be compatible?
Our filter is compatible with standard thread faucets. Please check if your faucet model is compatible before purchasing.
My faucet has a standard thread, but how do I know if I will need an adapter?
To identify if you need an adapter, it is important to fill out the following questionnaire.
Why do I have to change every 3 months even if I use it very little?
The refill is made of carbon, a material of organic origin that can be a breeding ground for microorganisms, which over time can give rise to the proliferation of bacteria. These bacteria accumulate behind the filter and can contaminate the water.
This is a normal situation with activated carbon filters, regardless of how many of you are at home, or if the filter has not been used for a while.
